Paddle-a-thon breaks all records

Hope, B.C.

Camp Squeah's fourth annual Paddle-a-thon fund raiser was a huge success this year, thanks to a record number of participants and volunteers.

Despite unsettled weather, nearly 40 paddlers (in kayaks and canoes) spent April 20 and 21 making their way down the mighty Fraser River from Hope to Fort Langley to raise funds for Squeah's staff bursary fund. Each participant was asked to raise $500, but a few keeners brought the total to over $45,000.
