NSW: Small defends himself against Priest allegations
SYDNEY, Feb 27 AAP - One of New South Wales' most senior police officers has rejected
allegations he was guilty of criminal neglect by ignoring a top-secret report on gang
warfare.
Assistant Commissioner Clive Small told a parliamentary inquiry that the allegations
made by former Cabramatta detective Sergeant Tim Priest had been inspired by spite.
"His claims can't be described as an honest mistake," Mr Small told members of the
all-party Upper House committee.
"There is no reasonable explanation ... for the allegations against me …
